You have done so many amazing and wonderful things for me and my family through the years. I don't even know where to begin. I am most thankful for all the times and memories we have shared as a family. Looking through all of the pictures while putting together this memory book has been so nice to look back and see all the places we have all enjoyed together. I have so many good memories of you growing up and now the kids have wonderful memories of their Grandpa and all the fun times we have had. You are such a wonderful blessing and we are so lucky we can have you in all of our lives! We love you so much!! Have a wonderful 70th birthday. You will be forever young to me. I love you, Sheri
Dear Grandpa, I love you so very much. I love being your "Numero Uno." :) I've always loved that nickname. It makes me feel extra special. When I have grandkids I want to call my first grandbaby that. I love all those fun pool times when you'd chase us in the water and go "bloop bloop bloop," chasing after us. Thank you so much for coming to my tennis matches and teaching me technique. I love how you always want home made ice cream and driving in your car to go get a "Root." :) I saw my first fox riding with you in your car in McCall. Oh, how I love McCall and the cow hats, green hats and the furbies. Such good memories. I am so excited to make my own Hawaii memories this fall just as exciting as the great ones I hear you and Grandma talk about. I love you so much and I'm glad that you had such beautiful daughters because I've got the beautiful Johnson genes...hahaha!:)
Love you! Jennie (Numero uno:) )

Dear Grandpa,
Happy Birthday to YOU!! I can't believe you're 70!! You sure don't act like it! :) Thank you so much for all the special moments we shared. For example, throwing coins in the pool at McCall. Sometimes that was the only money I ever had to spend! ha ha Driving around in your awesome car is always a fun time too. Or how you would always call root beer in McCall a "Root!" I always thought it tasted way more special just because you called it that. Thank you so much for all you have done for me. You have given us good family home evening lessons that always teach me great things. And then of course we have homemade ice cream which we both love. Thank you for coming to all my plays, sometimes twice in a row. It is so nice to look out in the audience and see you and Grandma smiling back at me. Thank you so much for giving me tennis lessons. Even on super windy days. It helped me get so much better! I love you so much, and hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Love, Michelle :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!! I love you for many reasons, but I will only say the top-knotch exciting ones. You have played a large amount of games that are absolutely fun with me. One of them is tennis, you even have papers in a binder that have all the rules of tennis and how to play the best matches. Another is teaching me how to throw a frisbee. Remember the times we had in Florida? That was awesome!! At McCall I love it when you throw loose change into the pool. I need the money! And it is a good game. Thank you so much and Happy Birthday to you!
Love, Justin
Dad and Mom posing with us in front of Terry's fire truck. Terry brought the engine over to a family picnic to let all the grand kids see it. Whooo! Whooo! We love our family picnics together. :)
Justin and Terry spraying the big hose, but Spencer is not sure it was okay! Look at that face!
Grandpa continues his game of "pinch the nose" with THE CLAW and "tickle til you die" with yet another generation of victims...... :) Justin is just about to try to survive the next attack. "I love it when Grandpa plays silly games with me!!"-Justin.
Grandpa & Michelle always have a great time sharing a birthday party together because their birthdays are just one day apart! Blow out all of those candles, you two! Looks like Justin is helping as well. :)
We love our Grandpa because he makes us laugh!
Grandma & Grandpa and Michelle at her 6th grade graduation from Cynthia Mann Elementary. Yay! Moving on to Jr. High School. We have been so lucky to live close to Grandpa because he and Grandma are so willing to come to all of our special events.
Graduating from Boise State University... Go Broncos!! Thank you, Dad, for always supporting me in everything I do.
Grandpa & Jennie just before Jennie is heading out to her Jr. Homecoming Dance. She likes it when he calls her "#1 Granddaughter." He will tell her date that the Holy Ghost goes to bed at midnight and possibly make him recite the 13th article of faith which he made Terry recite before his first date with Sheri!! :)
Summertime in McCall by the lake. We love hiking with Grandpa looking for huckleberries and being scared by the "Great Bear," who is really Grandpa!! Notice the cow hats Grandpa got all of us for this reunion. Dad always finds little ways to make things special with little thoughtful gifts and memories to take home. "Everyone come sit on the couch!" is a famous saying of Dad's when he has something to present to his kids and grand kids. What a great time!!!
We have enjoyed many wonderful trips with Dad & Mom. Lots of winters in McCall enjoying the beautiful snow.......
.......so much fun!!
Jennie has carried on her Grandpa's tradition of sharing tennis with everyone around him by using tips he has taught her to teach kids in the neighborhood the fun of playing. Tennis lives on in this family! See what you've started Dad!!
Proud grandparents the day Justin chose to be baptised. Grandpa is always a good example to Justin of someone who will choose the right. Thank you Dad, for being such a good example of a strong priesthood holder for all of the men in our family.
Here we are smiling with Grandma & Grandpa in our Trekking garb. Grandpa challenged us all to read Fire of the Covenant and we all earned a fistful of 2 dollar bills! Thru the years, Dad has always found good ways to get us all to work hard and do what is right. When we girls were young, we were challenged to read books like Marvelous Work & a Wonder. Dad gave us actual tests on each chapter and we were able to learn a lot of good gospel principles. Thanks Dad and Grandpa!
Dad came and visited Michelle the day she got her braces off. What a great day, and long waited for. Look at those pearly whites, on BOTH of them! SMILE!!
The Johnson-Cole tradition of favorite places in the whole world---the BEACH!!!
Here's some suntan stuff for your next big trip to the ocean Dad & Mom! Because we live so close we have enjoyed many Christmas mornings together with Dad & Mom coming over before the kids come downstairs. Dad usually takes a nap on the couch and then we would have Christmas Dinner together.. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for spending so many Christmas days with us!
Amazingly we arrived near the same time on our trip to Tortolla, British Virgin Islands, on the little landing strip. Dad met us to show us the way. He and mom had been delayed in San Juan and arrived on an 8 seat puddle jumper just minutes before us. This trip was the most exciting one we have ever been on because Dad took us on one of his famous "sails!" We spent the whole week on a boat visiting all the islands, shopping, swimming, scuba diving and playing in the sand!
Here we are eating at a Mexican restaurant (in the Caribbean LOL) just before we got on the boat.
Our private island where NO one else was, because our captain sailed before breakfast to get us there!
Cooper Island had huge sand crabs on the shore. Terry chased them all down!

The food was amazing, prepared for us right on the boat. We enjoyed every meal together for a week!!
Here we are getting ready to go scuba diving and snorkeling. Terry and Sheri scuba dived along the bottom while Dad and Mom snorkeled from above. We could see them up there watching over us.......looking for sharks!! :)
Sheri and Dad on the beaches of Florida!! We could spend the rest of our lives just like this!! This day brings back memories of when Dad took Shelly & I to Hawaii when we were only 11 and 12 years old.....we were the envy of all our friends as we enjoyed the REAL ocean that was actually WARM for the first time, snorkeling and swimming. We sang from the rooftops of our hotel in Waikiki "Good morning world! Good morning to you!" because we were so happy to be there. Thank you, Dad, for taking us.
The Baths on Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Christmas 2000, we all got to go to Cancun. We met Terry's family, Chuck, Marla, Dave and Kristi, and had a blast traveling around the beaches and ruins.
On our last day in Florida, we all enjoyed a great evening together at Joe's Crab Shack. We all ate crab until we couldn't eat anymore and had a wonderful time.
The card says, "I love you so much, Grandpa!!! Love, Justin." Justin says his favorite thing about Grandpa is he is always smiling and makes everything fun.
Dad & Jennie were great fans of any ride that was fast or scary in Disneyworld. Jennie has definitely inherited the love to go fast from Grandpa. The more dangerous the better for them. :) What a super fun grandpa!!
We had such a wonderful time spending our Florida vacation with Grandma & Grandpa. The first week at Disney World was filled with adventure playing thru all of the parks. Grandma & Grandpa joined us for the Hollywood park and we had the best time trying out rides like Tower of Terror and Rockin'Roller coaster. Grandpa loved those rides the best. He has always been fun and willing to go and try anything and make things fun for all of us. The second week Dad invited our family to stay with him in his condo so we could spend the time running from beach to beach. It was a dream come true just hanging out and relaxing. One day we traveled through the swamp and fed the alligators, ending up on a beach completely made of shells. And we made a special trip to visit the Orlando Temple. It was really fun to share all of this with Grandpa & Grandma, the most adventurous grandparents we know!!
We LOVE YOU!! Happy Birthday!!!!
